Den Belfi’s Classic Car and Auto Repair shop is a full service auto repair garage servicing local clients with their general auto repair needs, scheduled preventative maintenance, and specializes in restoration, upgrading, and detailing classic GM vehicles. In addition, Den Belfi’s Auto is also a New Jersey state licensed emission repair and private state inspection station.

Currently, we operate from three different locations within our home base of Garfield, New Jersey. Our largest location at 2 Gaston Avenue, Garfield, is where major disassembly, cataloging, and final assembly is done, our licensed body shop, located minutes away, and a smaller location, nearby in Lodi, where smaller scale detailing and mechanical repair and suspension upgrades are performed.

We have quality contacts for sublet services, such as transport, upholstery work, sandblast, and powder coating nearby. For driveline components, we can recommend any one of a number of quality shops we have used to have your numbers matching engine or transmission rebuilt or simply get a drop-in crate performance unit. We will do all the necessary shipping and handling.

At Den Belfi’s Classic Car, we never have multiple jobs running concurrently, so there will never be more than 2 restorations in progress at any time. This way, the extra time and care needed to make your job right is never compromised. We are happy to be a small shop and our quality speaks for itself.

Our pricing is straightforward, it is never easy to accurately estimate a restore job, regardless of how large or small, so beware of those who give you a fixed price and actually stick with it.

After consulting with you on what you are looking to achieve, we would require an initial deposit to draw from in an amount we estimate would cover shop labor and supplies to get the job rolling. As work progresses it may be necessary to replenish your account from time to time to stay current. We would also need either a credit card or similar source of funding for the purchasing of any parts required. We will always advise you when and what will be ordered either by phone, in person, or e-mail. All work will be documented in a register of all time and work performed as well as digital photographs of all aspects of the project for your records as proof of work being done.
